Clinical Supervision Opportunities
Collaborative and Supportive Clinical Supervision
Helping you develop Competence, Confidence and Clinical Skills

At 3 Rivers Counselling, we offer a collaborative and supportive clinical supervision experience for practicum students pursuing their Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University or a Master of Education in Counselling at the University of New Brunswick (UNB Fredericton).
Each term, we accept one practicum intern, providing a structured yet flexible learning environment where emerging therapists can develop their skills with guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities. Supervision at 3 Rivers is built on trust, reflection, and ethical practice, ensuring that interns feel supported while growing their clinical confidence and competence.
Supervisees benefit from a combination of individual and dyadic supervision, tailored to their learning needs. In addition to direct client work, interns will engage in discussions on clinical skills, ethics, professional identity, and the balance between the art and business of therapy.
Interns must be able to commit to at least two partial in-person days per week at the practice, along with virtual hours from home. This structure ensures both hands-on experience and the flexibility needed to balance learning and clinical responsibilities.
With a strong background in education and mental health, our supervision model is compassionate, collaborative, and development-focused, preparing interns for a meaningful and sustainable career in counselling. Interns who demonstrate strong clinical skills and build rapport with clients may be invited to continue at 3 Rivers Counselling after their placement.
